| Jun 23 - Jul 2 1994 | A spectacular
setting, a welcoming village, incomparable vegetation, and a lovely home.
We had a superb stay and hope to retire in the area in twelve years.

| Jul 30 - Aug 5 1994 | Pétrou was a lovely tranquil hiatus in
an otherwise energetic month of travelling, the hyacinths were in full
bloom when we arrived, we managed to find a few raspberries &
blackberries. Were enchanted by all the butterflies. We were thrilled
that the sheep farmer brought the flock to graze here one day. Although
we enjoyed it so much here we did less than anticipated, the caves,
especially Peche Merle are not to be missed. Thanks so much.

| Aug 6 - 20 1994 | A beautiful space. Long days with books
have been idyllic. Its good to stay in a house (with a garden) which
feels like a home and not just a holiday place. The raspberries were a
delicious bonus.

We have had a wonderful holiday.
Pétrou was a great base to see the sites all around. We like it and after
two weeks, it felt like home. We really enjoyed our weekend together with
you and the “other” sites which you showed us. Thédirac, Montcuq and
lunch at Tournon D’Agenais were great.

We had never been more at home in France ... the food, the conversation (burgers and English) ... I think that we can now consider ourselves locals. Thank you for being so inviting and kind. It has been a great day. With a great view, nice breeze, surroundings and land. Thanks so much for letting us use your bikes and showing us the farm and the wonderful food.

Two very peaceful & relaxed weeks in comfortable accommodation - wish it could have been longer. We enjoyed the fete at Uzech + 2 boules (petanque) competitions which earned us some “pocket money”! The countryside is “si beau” & the pace of living “si decontracte” - a perfect holiday. This is our second year in the Lot & we still feel we could return for another summer. Many thanks for letting us ‘borrow’ your lovely home & thanks also to Tony Calladine who called in a couple of times & whose wife lent us games for the children one wet day

treasures of the Lot & Dordogne. Promise to ask for your Canadian Tire
shopping list next time!

Now for a rest! Thank you for another lovely holiday. All there is left for me to do is to reiterate everyone’s thanks and to say if you ever think about selling...!!! Love and best wishes

We hate to leave! As we keep finding, it is the people that make for a superior vacation. Susan and Richard, thank you for the many recommendations, the answered questions, good conversation and mostly for the crocodile! (And I especially enjoyed the weeding and the pruning!) We have had a really delightful week, thanks in large part to the Bills. The food and the limited wine I was permitted to enjoy were great. We plan to keep in touch.

had. Pétrou is a great place to unwind. The local markets are full of
charm (and wine and cheese!!), Cazals is especially recommended. Susan

to know what all the locals are up to, ask them!! An added delight was
trying the new fishing rod. 15 fish in one day is my record. All in all
a great holiday. Thank You
